About ECX
The Engineering Career Expo (ECX) at the University of Lagos is the premier student-led talent incubator and professional career bridge under the University of Lagos Engineering Society (ULES). Founded in 2019, ECX was created to decisively bridge the gap between rigorous university engineering curricula and the fast-paced global tech and corporate industry.
Through initiatives like "HackX" — an intense 72-hour national hackathon, the "ECX 30 Days of Code & Design" bootcamps, and executive networking mixers, ECX has trained over 1,500 students in software engineering, UI/UX design, cloud infrastructure, and product management. ECX routinely partners with top venture capital funds, corporate accelerators, and African unicorns, facilitating internships, job placements, and seed investment for student-led startups.
