About ULES OWLS

The ULES Oratory, Writers and Literacy Society (ULES OWLS) is the premier communications and literary hub within the Faculty of Engineering, founded in 2020. Recognizing that modern engineers must not only calculate and construct but also articulate, persuade, and lead, OWLS was formed to cultivate eloquence, public speaking mastery, and literary excellence among engineering students.

OWLS organizes the prestigious "Orator's Stage" parliamentary debate tournaments, regular public speaking clinics, and creative writing workshops. The society also curates and publishes the annual ULES Literary Digest, documenting essays, poetry, and investigative op-eds that reflect the intellectual breadth and cultural vitality of UNILAG engineers.
